Description

A stunning and large example of this spiny species. ย Bolaspidella is a small species, with most individuals measuring well under one centimeter. ย This specimen measures 1.2cm and is nearly perfect, sporting axial spines and a pustulose exoskeleton. ย Situated on an incredible bi-color matrix, the red and orange trilobite is centered on a color zone dividing line. ย The rose and green matrix are naturally colored, representing natural minerals heated under extreme compression conditions sometime in the past 505 million years. ย The line likely represents an ancient natural rock joint that was fused. ย The piece is spectacular and is a definitive example of this species.
