Description
A perfect specimen of Olenellus terminatus from the Groom Mountain Range near the famous Area 51. The many different species of Olenellus trilobites from the Early Cambrian of the Great Basin in North America are often difficult to tell apart. Many of these species exhibit slightly different characteristics at different sites across the “Trilobite Triangle” in Nevada. O. terminatus often has slightly longer genal spines than its type.
*Note: The small gap line at the tail is a natural mineral overcoating and has been stabilized. Very solid with no chance of breakage.
