Description

A lateral specimen of this fang-tailed species from the remote mountains of Montana.  Good examples of this species are very difficult to obtain, especially preserving the delicate pair of pygidial spines the species is so well known for.  The V. nortia species is easily recognizable from its close cousing V. contracta by the extending and expanding cephalon.  This specimen is well preserved relative to other examples.
