An outstanding, large specimen of Olenellus chiefensis from the Lower Cambrian rocks of the American West. This specimen exhibits one of the most striking healed predatory damage we have seen from the Lower Cambrian. This ancient Olenellus clocks in at over half a billion years old, making it one of the earliest trilobites. Already a highly sought-after species, this specimen, with its perfect preparation and exceptional bite mark, is truly one of a kind.
