Description
Collected in the 1960’s or ’70’s, this is the nicest example of Flexicalymene ouzregi we’ve seen. Normally these trilobites are seen in very poor condition in all states of damage and disarticulation. This 5.1cm was recently released from a North American academic collection. The trilobite is fully inflated featuring a natural dark orange and brown color. The nodule features both part and counterpart, with radiating colorful liesegang rings (banded patterns) around the trilobite. Zero paint or restoration. This is a definitive example for this species.
