Description
The highly sought after double Olenellus chiefensis with great preservation and a long telson whipped to the side.
There are two Olenellus chiefensis on this slab, with the larger specimen being a counterpart of negative, but it has retained the calcified exoskeleton. The smaller specimen situated in the center of the plate measures 3.5 cm and is perfect. We don’t see intact calcified exoskeletons on Olenellus trilobites often. The calcified surface is highly detailed, with dark orange coloring expressed around the trilobites. The plate is littered with other trilobite remains including a crumpled Olenellus gilberti. Excellent Piece!
