Description
One of the finest examples of this rarely seen Amecephalus piochensis specimens we’ve seen. From the Middle Cambrian Chisholm Shale of Nevada, this species is noted for its large cephalic field and thick genal spines. This nearly perfect specimen measures 1.6 cm, and is complete with a small button-like pygidium. Amecephalus piochensis is more commonly noted from Utah. Examples of this quality from Nevada are rarely available.
