Description

A rare juvenile comb jelly from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. ย This is the smallest example we’ve seen measuring just 5mm. ย This is likely a juvenile form of Thalassostaphylos elegans based on its shape and prominent apical organ (nipple-like structure on top). ย The preservation is outstanding for such a small specimen. ย Larger specimens tend to be black while the juveniles we have seen have been orange.
