Description

Incredible preservation on this Late Ordovician diminutive crustacean. ย The exoskeleton is highly ornamented with many appendages extending outward showing fine hair-like extensions (setae). We havenโ€™t seen many examples with this level of preservation. Ostracods are micro-crustaceans with this example measuring just 3.5 millimeters.

This species was named in 2014.
