Description
A large plate featuring a huge 5.6 cm complete Asaphiscus wheeleri, along with two molted nearly complete specimens. Asaphiscus above 2 inches are rare. This piece comes from the dwindling stock of the Red Beds locality. The site produced exceptionally preserved and colored examples of the classic Middle Cambrian Utah fauna. This plate features red and lime-green matrix, intersected with a nice line of Dendrite crystals. This plate is striking in person. We are almost out of pieces from this locality.
