Description
A beautiful aesthetic specimen of Olenellus chiefensis from the Chief Mountain Range, Nevada. This specimen is colorful with its orange iron expressed nicely against the naturally banded matrix backdrop. O. chiefensis is fairly rare amongst the suite of Lower Cambrian Olenelloid trilobites of Laurentia. Its defining characteristic is its elongated spaceship-like cephalon, setting it apart from other species.
