At nearly 6 cm with both cheeks intact, this is the finest Ogygopsis we’ve seen. This specimen was collected 3 decades ago along the mountain slopes near the infamous “Area 51” site in remote Nevada. The lustrous black wrinkly exoskeleton is striking in person, with an added coppery tint. Ogygopsis is rarely seen with cheeks, especially in such large specimens.
