Description
An unusual Fallotaspid trilobite from the earliest trilobite bearing rocks in North America. This specimen likely represents a mostly complete Repinaella sp. This archaic looking specimen is unusual with a wide cephalon and small “intergenal” spines complimenting the standard genal spines. This feature is reminiscent of the genus Repinaella, known from the earliest trilobite in Siberia, as well as incomplete examples from slightly lower in this formation. The Fallotaspis zone in Nevada and California is poorly researched mostly due to it being very remote and sparsely fossiliferous. Rare offering.

Species Name: Fallotaspis / Repinaella
Order / Family: Redlichiida / Fallotaspidoidea
