Description
A stunning 2.5 cm red Elrathia kingii trilobite with a complete 9 mm Bolaspidella housensis, situated on a colorful matrix background. Small agnostid trilobite pecies of the species Itagnostus interstrictus are also present on the plate. Colorful pellet-like shapes pepper the plate around the trilobite. These undetermined pellets are likely algal in origin.
Examples of red Elrathia and Bolaspidella from this site are becoming increasingly rare. The site was known throughout the 80’s & 90’s for producing these stunning red Elrathia with superior preservation and colorful matrices. The supply of top specimens from this site are becoming excessively rare.
